Apple Crisp

The easiest dessert to bake that is both fruity and crunchy is an apple crisp! Make it for brunch or for dessert, and it will have the entire family raving!


  • 6 granny smith apples
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup of oats
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup of canola oil
  • 1/2 cup of walnuts 


  • PREHEAT the oven to 300 degrees F
  • PEEL and CHOP the apples, place them in an 8x13" Pyrex
  • MIX the cinnamon, sugar and lemon juice in with the apples
  • CHOP the walnuts
  • COMBINE the oats, brown sugar, oil and chopped walnuts together
  • COVER the apples with the oat mixture
  • BAKE the apple crisp for an hour and a half

Recipe note: You can also add other fruit to the apple mixture, I like adding strawberries and raspberries for a nice tart taste! Also, if you don't have walnuts around the house, chopped almonds or pecans also taste delicious!
