Banana Bread

You can make this the perfect dessert, a delicious snack or even a sweet item on your brunch menu. This versatile treat will make you famous in the family, and will leave everyone wanting more!


  • 1 cup of sugar
  • ½ cup of butter
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 3 mashed overripe bananas
  • 1 ¾ cup of flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt


  1. PREHEAT the oven to 325 degrees F
  2. COMBINE flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt
  3. CREAM together the butter and sugar in a separate bowl
  4. ADD eggs and the bananas to the butter/sugar mixture
  5. COMBINE the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients 
  6. GREASE a loaf pan before pouring in the mixture
  7. BAKE for 75-90 minutes at 325 degrees F

Recipe Note: For some added sweetness, you can add in ¾ cup of chocolate chips. For some added crunch, you can add in ¾ cup of chopped walnuts. OR If you're living on the wild side, you can do both!
