Roasted Chicken

The best types of dinners are the ones where you can prepare for 10 minutes and then forget about it until dinner time. Roasted Chickens are exactly that easy!

Ingredients 

  • 1 whole chicken
  • 1 lemon
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 1 white onion
  • Extra virgin olive oil (for drizzle) 
  • Salt and pepper
  • Trader Joe's 21 Seasoning Salute

Directions

  1. PREHEAT the oven to 400 degrees F
  2. RINSE whole chicken thoroughly and place in a Pyrex pan/deep baking tray
  3. CHOP the lemon, and onion
  4. SEASON the inside of the chicken with salt, pepper and the 21 Seasoning Salute
  5. STUFF the chicken with the lemon, onion and garlic 
  6. RUB the chicken with Extra Virgin Olive Oil 
  7. SEASON the outside of the chicken with salt, pepper and the 21 Seasoning Salute
  8. ROAST the chicken in the oven 
  9. REDUCE heat after 20-30 minutes to 350 degrees F

Recipe Note: Roast the chicken for 45 minutes for every kg and then an additional 20 minutes. Be sure to let the chicken sit for 20 minutes after cooking before you start to slice it.
